Alternative energy methods in Winter Park homes are needed more than ever with gas prices well over $3 a gallon and escalating electric and gas bills. So what are the oil alternatives for Winter Park households? Solar and wind power are palpable sources, but many have a hard time moving past fossil fuels since that is what we are all so used to using.

Those in areas with legnthy snow seasons, hold the thought that solar power provides a reduced supply of energy, a frequent misconception. Enough power can normally be created by just a few hours of sunshine. In the event of a cloudy day, solar power is supported by an electric system. Rebates and tax credits are regularly given for using solar energy in a lot of states.

Wind is a great idea for a power source, in theory. It is confined to states with a sufficient amount of wind. Burning wood pellets is a feasible alternative, if you have a special stove. Cutting back on our usage is perhaps the easiest and most cost effective thing we can do right now. By simply taking quicker showers or shutting off the light when you exit a room, you can save a lot.
